The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to re-sign running back Justin Forsett, who was released by the team Saturday in the cut-down to the 53-player roster limit, a source told ESPN.
The Ravens plan to sign Forsett and officially add return man Devin Hester while placing safety Matt Elam and defensive end Carl Davis on injured reserve, the source said.
We had a report that Forsett never left the team’s RB1 spot on the depth chart despite being cut. Terrance West and Javorius Allen should also see work for the Ravens along with Forsett. Some who follow the team speculate injured RB Kenneth Dixon will eventually take over the RB1 role, possibly this year. There are a lot of moving parts to the Ravens RB situation.
